OUR MISSION
With roots firmly placed in surf culture, SUPERbrand creates unique pieces that are forward thinking and that fulfill the wants, needs, ideology and vision of the youth and beyond. We make quality surfboards, and on-trend apparel for men and women that are relevant to both surf and fashion circles.
OUR HISTORY
SUPERbrand, founded in 2008 by Dion Agius, Clay Marzo, and Ry Craike, is all about progression. By joining a team of young, innovative Surfboard designers—the SUPERbrand Shapers’ Collective—with a skate-influenced aesthetic and full-board graphics, SUPERbrand set new standards of excellence in the surfboard industry. Beginning with gaining a core following in the surf community with high quality and unique-looking boards, hype quickly grew.
In June 2010 SUPERbrand launched its first Men’s Apparel Collection, an assortment that followed the youthful, progressive, high-quality aesthetic of the Brand. With the bones in place, distribution carefully grew to core markets and fine boutiques in the US, Australia, and select other regions.
2012 saw the entrance of SUPERbrand Women’s Collection. Like the rest of SUPERbrand, the Collection refuses to be categorized and fills a void in the fashion/surf/skate/whatever worlds.

ABOUT THE SHAPERS COLLECTIVE
SUPERbrand’s Shapers’ Collective is a team of shapers and designers collaborating to produce the most innovative surfboards with and for the most progressive surfers on the planet.
Regionally specialized shapers in nearly every region of the world provide the SUPERbrand team and customers a wide variety of shortboards. Why? It all comes from a desire to share knowledge and ideas for the greater good of our team and customers. Shapers all over the world collaborate with SUPERbrand team riders and customers, offering the variety and regional expertise that’s so important to surfboard riding. In other words, shapers with rich and extensive board-building backgrounds create boards in your area and know the waves and conditions you surf. The Shapers’ Collective comes together and rallies around a common goal. The shapers of the Collective bounce concepts around, constantly one-upping each other in the race to make a better shortboard.

"SORRY, WE'RE OPEN" -- SUPERbrand's FIRST SURF MOVIE
In 2011, SUPERbrand decided to make a no-frills movie about surfing. The main subject: fun. The team went to some exotic locations and sessions were shot in 35 and 16 mm film. Dion Agius on his perma-Bali vacation; Ry Craike off his tits in West Oz death pits; Clay Marzo in uncharted Indo and fabulous France. Along with Peru’s Gabriel Villaran, LA’s Dane Zaun, and Bali’s Lee Wilson, the line up makes for a kick in your teeth compilation.
The footage was sent to our friend Kai Neville to edit; he said, 'no worries'. Kai put it all together with this soundtrack: kinda noisy, garage-y, danceable, and FUN. The finished product got really psyched to go surfing. And so sorry if this film makes you wanna go surfing too. As if you have some other shit to do, or something. Hopefully that's not the case, though... click here to watch it.
